Cracked corners, spalled bases and exposed rebar on tilt-up panels, repaired in place across Phoenix and Arizona. Real before and after photos below.
Tilt-up · tilt-wall · tilt panel
A lot of the commercial buildings around Phoenix are tilt buildings: big concrete wall panels cast on site and tilted up into place. The panels carry heavy structural loads, and over time the corners, bases and joints crack and break. Left alone, a small break turns into exposed, rusting rebar and a wall that leaks.
A-1 repairs tilt panels in place, so you don't have to replace the wall. We give you a clear plan, use proven repair and waterproofing methods, and let you get back to running your building.

How we repair a tilt panel
Look first. We walk the building and tell you what's damaged and what it takes to fix it.
Remove the bad concrete. Damaged concrete comes out down to sound material, and any exposed steel gets cleaned and treated.
Rebuild the panel. Corners, edges and bases are formed and rebuilt to their original shape, then finished to match the wall.
Seal it. Cracks and panel joints get sealed so water stays out of the steel.
Questions we get
What is a tilt building?
A building made of large concrete wall panels cast flat on site and tilted up into place, also called tilt-up or tilt-wall. Many Phoenix-area warehouses, offices and retail buildings are built this way.
Can a damaged tilt panel be repaired instead of replaced?
Often, yes. Cracked corners, spalled bases and exposed rebar can usually be repaired in place. We'll look at the damage and tell you what it takes.
